It doesn't get much easier than this Famous Chopped Salad, does it? Gather the fresh vegetables, the tender pasta, the savory chicken, the succulent bacon, and the tangy Gorgonzola cheese, and chop everything up fine. Then toss with a sweet and sunny lemon dressing and voilà! Done! Lunchtime has never been simpler or tastier than with Famous Chopped Salad!
Ingredients
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup red cabbage, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups ditalini pasta, cooked
- 1 1/2 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
- 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/2 cup Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup Gorgonzola cheese crumbles
- 1 cup lemon vinaigrette salad dressing, homemade or store-bought
Directions
Step 1 -In a bowl, add the romaine lettuce, the iceberg lettuce, the cabbage, the ditalini, the chicken, the bacon, the tomatoes, the green onions, and the Gorgonzola.
Step 2 -Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
Step 3 -Serve.
