For such a classic Thanksgiving dessert, Traditional Pecan Pie is remarkably easy to whip together; it's perfect for last-minute preparations or busy schedules! What's more, it's scrumptious — with molasses' sweet smokiness and the nutty crunch of buttery pecans in every mouthful. Traditional Pecan Pie is a captivatingly sweet confection that makes people happy regardless of the occasion. Be prepared for a chorus of "mmmmm" when you serve this up!
Ingredients
- 1 cup white corn syrup
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup pecans
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- salt, to taste
- 1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie shell
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -In a bowl, mix together the corn syrup, the brown sugar, the melted butter, the pecans, the eggs, the vanilla, and the salt.
Step 3 -Pour the pecan mixture into the pie shell.
Step 4 -Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Step 5 -Let it cool completely.
Step 6 -Serve.
